TETAC’s ONE-YEAR CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
  • Certificate in Civil Technology
    The student will major in plumbing, masonry with rebars and formworks. This course prepares the students for careers such as plumbing installation contractor, building supervisor/inspector, building contractor, scaffold’s fabricator and quality control inspector.
    At the end of the course, students will be able to design, estimate and install plumbing system, inspect and repair plumbing installation systems, inspect and repair concrete/masonry defects, construct concrete/masonry, estimate quantities and cost materials, fabricate and repair scaffoldings, and check and examine plumbing systems.
    After the course, the student may attain a National Qualification of Scaffold Erection NC II, Plumbing NC II & Masonry NC II through demonstration of competence in a project-type assessment.
  • Computer System and Networking Technology
    This course prepares the students for careers such as computer technician, computer repairman, computer system analyst, network technician, network specialist, network technical support/specialist, and technical support staff/specialist in call centers. This course will equip students with IT essentials and CISCO 1.
    At the end of the course, students will be able to make certain that IT resources are easily accessible and outfitted with current software and hardware requirements, and keep track and effectively maintain IT resources to assure optical access, troubleshoot a wide range of IT related issues that will vary depending on their employer and the industry they work in.
    After the course, the student may attain a National Qualification of Computer System Services and CISCO 1 Certificate through demonstration of competence in a project-type assessment.
  • Certificate in Electrical Technology
    This course prepares the students for careers such as installation electricians, maintenance electricians, production electricians, industrial electrician and electric motor rewinding technician.
    At the end of the course, students will be able to install electrical wiring, fixtures or equipment after which they maintain and repair these devices if they get spoilt, ensure that the wire and the devices work in accordance with the codes required, install lights on the street and electric control systems which they will do service on, install, maintain and repair electrical systems in industrial facilities: factories, businesses and other places that pull more power and have more complex systems. Test conditions of windings according to industry standards/customer specifications, rewind various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment-three-phase, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors and transformers, and operate specialized repair and testing equipment-winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core-loss testers and non-power tools.
    After the course, the student may attain a National Qualification of Electrical Installation & Maintenance NC II and Industrial Electricity NC III through demonstration of competence in a project-type assessment.
  • Certificate in Steel Fabrication and Welding Technology
    This course develops the knowledge, skills and attitude of students required to become multi-skilled workers in steel fabrication and welding. The program covers metal fabrication from technical drawing interpretation, cutting and forming process to the welding and inspection phases. Apart from the theory and practice in the University, students gain intensive hands-on experience during the apprenticeship in the industry.
    At the end of the course, the students are expected to demonstrate competencies such as interpret various types of steel construction drawing, sketches specifications, and manuals, solve trade-related mathematical problems and estimates, use effective oral communication skills in the workplace, perform rigging and hoisting procedures, perform cutting, fillet and groove welding on plate sand pipes using various welding processes, comply with regulatory and organizational requirements for occupational health and safety, and apply quality systems and procedures.
    After the course, the student may attain a National Qualification of SMAW NC II, GMAW NC II, GTAW NC II, FCAW NC II, Pipefitting NC II and Scaffolding Erection NC II through demonstration of competence in a project-type assessment.
  • Certificate in Mechanical Technology with Basic CNC Programming
    This course prepares the students for careers such as machine operator, maintenance machinist, tool and die maker, CNC machine operator, technician and quality control inspection.
    At the end of the course, students will be equipped with competencies such as making necessary machine set-up, read and understand drawings, move and/or install machinery including production lines, repair machines, dismantle and install equipment, able to make different types of dies, molds, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, visualize a CNC program and use micrometers, gauges, comparators, and precision measuring instrument.
    After the course, the student may attain a National Qualification of Machining NC II and CNC Programming through demonstration of competence in a project-type assessment.
  • Restaurant and Bar Services
    This course is designed to provide and equipped the students with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude in running and operating a successful restaurant and bar business that focuses on the needs of the customer. The students will learn the career opportunity in the restaurant and bar operations as well as in handling restaurant and bar ownership.
    After the course, the student may now attain a National Qualification of Bartending NC II, Barista NC II and Food and Beverage Services NC II through demonstration of competence in a project-type assessment. Successful candidates shall be awarded National Certificates signed by the TESDA Director General.
  • Seafarer Catering and Stewarding
    This course is designed to equip individuals with skills, knowledge and attitudes required in rendering catering services in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies in providing mess hall services, perform housekeeping services as well as providing assistance in receiving and storing provision and supplies. A student who has completed this training may be qualified to become a Messman and Ships’ Cook.
    After the course, the student may now attain a National Qualification of Ships’ Catering Services NC I and NC II through demonstration of competence in a project-type assessment.
  • Culinary Arts & Kitchen Services
    This course is designed to provide and equip the student’s skills, knowledge and attitude necessary in obtaining future employment in various hospitality industry in the field of culinary arts and kitchen management as a whole. The students will learn the fundamentals and techniques in cooking, knife skills, product identification and; overview of the history and careers within the culinary arts profession.
    After the course, the student may now attain a National Qualification of Cookery NC II, Food Processing NC II and Bread & Pastry Production NC II through demonstration of competence in a project-type assessment. Successful candidates shall be awarded National Certificates signed by the TESDA Director General.
  • Hotel Operations Services
    This course is designed to provide and equipped the students with the opportunity to have a firsthand knowledge, skills and attitude necessary in the hospitality industry regarding all facets of hotel operations before entering the world of hospitality. The students will learn how to prepare and apply housekeeping services, front office service operations and overview of the hospitality industry.
    After the course, the student may now attain a National Qualification of Front Office Services NC II and Housekeeping NC II through demonstration of competence in a project-type assessment. Successful candidates shall be awarded National Certificates signed by the TESDA Director General.

    Pwedi po mag tanong about TETAC Certificate Program, Hotel Operations Services. Ano po ba ang requirements or admissions to enrol sa course na ito?
